History

The first unofficial meeting of the league took place with founder members sitting on the grass on Penenden Heath outside The Bull Public House with a pint, Charles Williams, the father of member Ken Williams, had been talking to John Ireland, Chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club and as a result of this conversation an invitation was sent to his 12 year old twin grandsons to visit the Molyneux Ground.

Mr Ireland suggested that they should play as much competitive football as possible and that a report of their progress was sent to him - and so the seed was born.

The idea of the league for under 14's began to take shape. Consideration of the boys was and still is of prime importance, to create a spirit of comradeship and to protect them as much as possible from the hurly burly of senior football.

In 1970 after a lot of general discussion a Kent Messenger reporter visited the home of Ken Williams to find out what it was all about, which resulted in a article in the local paper, asking for replies from anyone interested in forming a league. Nine teams eventually registered with the KCFA. A committee was set up consisting of D Terry, B Pearson, Mr & Mrs Holness plus two members from each club. The original line up of officials was:
